Going to take a bit of a blogging break for August as I’m going to be travelling for a good part of it. Have some big professional news on tap as well but time for a much needed family vacation first. May be posting some charts from time to time though.

Found this very interesting (and hopeful) from JBREC’s Chris Porter:
New provisional births numbers show US births are up 3% YOY in the 12 months through March 2022.
Not quite a baby boom just yet — this is off the lowest level since the 1970s — but the number is up, which is a positive for housing demand.
Also of note: deaths are trending flat to down, which means the gap between births and deaths — the natural population change — is widening once again. (Though still narrower than it has been historically.)
